Side is an ancient city based by Greeks in 7 century B.C. on picturesque green peninsula. Now it is the district of Antalya city, a touristic center, where history and nature are within each other and all kinds of touristic activity can be performed. There are yachts and sailing vessels in a silent and cosy bay. The city was the large sea trade center. For shape of city are characteristic brick, old construction of the house with tile roofs, narrow streets with numerous shops and cafe where turists like to walk in the evening. A lot of historical monuments you can see here - the amphitheater on 16 000 spectators, the Roman bath turned into a museum. There are also ruins of the market area, a fountain, a necropolis, an aqueduct. The past of city and a modern network of hotels are harmoniously combined with untouched beauty of the nature. And it atracts to Side huge quantity of tourists. Someone comes to lie in the sun and to swimm in the blue sea, someone to see places which ever heard or read about.
